This has always been one of my favorite quotes... it's been in my quote book as early as high school, yes back in high school when you had to write down quotes, with a pen, that you found in books, magazines, or actually heard people say... you know back in the old days before pinterest. I've always been an avid reader and have always loved quotes so I kept a quote book - and I've actually kept track of it, I love looking through it - seeing my handwriting change over the years and seeing my phases change. I'll love it someday when I can give it to my daughter... or I'll probably just keep it. Anyway...
I love this quote because it's about the moment... being present. In that photo, it was one thousand degrees outside, I was worried about how my hair looked, being with my two hottest friends, feeling fat... on and on. But looking back now - I absolutely LOVE that photo, I remember the moment, being at rib fest, I have the cheesiest grin on my face, having the time of our lives.... everything has changed since that moment, none of us are the same, we're all in different places now... We will never get that exact moment back. Be happy for this moment... this moment. is. your. life.
